Which 2010 diets will work for you?

Will 2010 be the year of breakthrough diets? You see it all around you, people are talking about weight loss and the challenges they face in the struggle of getting rid of belly fat, getting flat abs, or having a tight butt. I am sure you are watching the new season of biggest loser couples. Isn’t it amazing how much those guys lost in one short week? I mean the guys on the show lost 30 pounds each (most of them). That is awesome!

What do you think caused that dramatic weight loss? Do you think it was just a fluke or do you think it was all water weight? Were you sitting there eating ice cream while you watched and saying to yourself that could never work for me? Or did you get inspired by the amazing weight loss of the groups members?

If you got inspired you are on the right track to success with weight loss. The diets of 2010 will not be any different than the diets of 2009 or the best diets of 2008. What will be different this year is your determination, your effort, your desire to have the body YOU want.

The major key to my personal weight loss wasn’t the diet I chose it was the belief in myself to do it once and for all! My desire to reduce my belly fat, my determination to fit in my skinny little sisters clothes (which I do so well now :}), my desire to live a slim fit healthy lifestyle.

I got inspired to eliminate the fat from my body, I ran with that inspiration, and I never looked back. You can do that too. Trust me, I used to drink coke and eat cookies for breakfast. If I could believe in myself to change a 20 plus year habit you can too. You must believe in yourself now.

I get emails all the time with people asking me what was my key to “successful weight loss” and my answer is simple… my mind!

Yep, that’s right. It wasn’t the hottest new diet it was my thoughts, my determination, my desire that did it. Each and every morning when I woke up I told myself affirmations and I would see myself at my goal weight. Throughout the day I kept affirming myself with positive thoughts of weight loss and before I went to bed I told myself what a great job I did that day following my weight loss program and following my desire to drop the unwanted pounds. Then I would visualize myself at my goal weight.

Doing these things kept me going. Doing these things made me love my workouts and gave me a new look at eating. Doing these things made me happy. In doing my affirmations I discovered another great thing to do that inspired me. I took the money each day that I would have spent on fast food, cookies, ice cream, and other junk foods and I put the money in a jar. As the weight was falling off I used that money to buy new clothes. I gave away my fat clothes as I would never need them again, ever!

Now that you are pumped up and ready to affirm your way down the weight loss scale pick a diet and run with it! Like I said it doesn’t matter which diet you pick, what matter is your thoughts in your mind.
