Your affirmations are to be in the present tense to give them a greater sense of power and immediacy. Using the present tense, affirms your readiness and willingness to reach your goal now. Keep the affirmation positive with the emphasis on you at your goal now. Now I know right now you are saying well I want to lose weight so I am thinking that why isn’t it working? It isn’t working because of the way you think about it. If you make statements like “today I will not eat bad foods” you will probably only eat bad foods. Your subconscious mind only heard “today I eat bad foods”. The words “will not” can not be comprehended by your subconscious mind. Instead say “today I choose to eat healthy foods” (positive weight loss affirmation).

It takes a little practice and you have to be consistent with the type of words you tell yourself and you should do it throughout the day. Weight loss affirmations work wonders and there is another great way to affirm your weight loss goals that is effortless on your part. This only takes a few minutes a day to do.

Your subconscious mind works better with pictures. For example when you are listening to the radio and an old song comes on. That old song has meaning to you and you instantly go there in your mind.
