The Two Secrets To Fat loss

There are no secrets however there are two important tasks you need to do when you are seeking fat loss. The first is how you structure you workouts. In order to stimulate fat-loss from your stomach you need to have a overall body workout and not focus on abdominal exercises. All the sit-ups and crunches in the world won’t get the job done as I am sure you have already read that spot reduction is not possible.

Unfortunately many people believe that spot reduction works and they keep at it. The truth is you don’t reduce belly fat by doing exercises that target the stomach area. Don’t waste all your time dedicating your workouts that target the abdomen with tons of belly fat exercises.

I am not saying give them up altogether as the abdominal exercises to help strengthen your core and give you a stronger back. Just keep in mind that abs exercises should be just a small portion of your workouts. The majority of your exercise routine should focus on the larger muscle groups like your legs, chest and back.
Focusing on the larger muscle groups will increase your metabolic rate during your workout and up to 48 hours after your workout. As you know having a high metabolic rate will help in reducing belly fat. Working your larger muscle groups will also increase your fat-burning hormones in your body. You will not get these stomach fat reducing benefits with simple abs exercises.

The second important task to rid yourself of that flabby belly has to do with what you are eating. The first thing you need to understand is that “diets” only work against your body in your effort to reduce stomach fat. You see, if you follow any of these fad diets like low-carb, or low-fat, or the grapefruit diet, the soup diet, or anything else that restricts 1 or more of the macro-nutrients (protein, carbs, and fat), most of the time you will actually lose lean muscle and lower your metabolic rate. This only makes you fatter in the long run, when you start to eat normal again!

It’s important to stop falling for the fad diet gimmicks, and understand that as humans, we are meant to eat a balanced diet full of different kinds of foods from healthy natural sources of carbohydrates, proteins, AND fats. This gives your body all of the macro-nutrients as well as all of the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and enzymes that your body needs to run as a well-oiled belly- fat-burning machine!
